President Halima Yacob hosted the fifth #ServingSG appreciation event at the Istana on 11 May 2023. It was held in recognition of healthcare workers at nursing homes, who played a significant role in ensuring that the residents receive quality care, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The #ServingSG series was initiated to recognize 'behind-the-scenes' workers who contribute to our nation.

At the event, the President met with healthcare workers who shared with her their experiences, including challenges they faced in caring for elderly patients with dementia. Senior Nurse Manager Heizel was invited to attend this memorable event where the President thanked all healthcare workers for their dedication to their patients.
