ABOUT US

Our Nursing Home and Its Humble Beginning

Moral Home was set up in 1986 as a community service to look after the aged sick in Singapore. The Home was declared open on 11 September 1988 in an old Community Centre, renovated to house 26 non-paying residents. In the same year, Moral Home applied for the adjoining vacant land to build a new Home.  The new Home was completed on 17 July 1994 and only male residents were admitted.  The second phase was completed in October 1995, with necessary facilities added to admit female residents. Total capacity came to 120 beds.

On 1 July 2012, the home was registered as a MOH funded nursing Home, with MOH provided means-tested subsidies for residents. Moral Home was also one of the first few nursing home in Singapore to be granted IPC (tax exempt) status.

Expansion plan to cater to Singapore's aging population was raised when the Home was nearing its full capacity.

Our Vision & Expansion  Plans

In 2016, we obtained approval from MOH for Addition & Alteration (A&A) works to our existing nursing home to increase number of beds from 120 to 235, of which 35 beds are dedicated for dementia residents.

Our home believes in providing quality nursing care for aging seniors.  Moral Home considers all psychosocial, physical, medical and emotional aspects of our residents and strive to provide person-centered care, as well as a safe environment for them to recuperate in.
